Customer Review: Samsung SL50 would not focus and produce blurred images

I wasn't expecting this camera to be great, but it is worse than acceptable quality. It is possible that I have received a defective product.
Firstly, the picture quality is inferior to that of the images produced by my old camera (Fuji F470) it was going to replace. Pictures are little fuzzy/blurred. I have tried various lighting conditions (day time, night time, with flash, without flash, etc.) and different image sizes, and found that the picture quality is consistently inferior to F470.
Auto focus mechanism makes constant grinding noise. As the camera is panned/moved, I can clearly hear the grinding noise.
Overall build quality is good, 5X zoom is definitely good, battery came pre-charged, and the charger is built into the camera. (Built-in charger has both benefits and disadvantages.) Charger cable is basically a USB cable which comes with a power socket adapter. So, same cable connects to computer for file transfers and to the power outlet for charging. The cable port on the camera is proprietary - I wish it was standard mini-USB.
Overall, I am dissatisfied with this product and returned it.
